When teaching in Ohio, it is essential to support Ohio State football. Therefore, I was shocked when I read one of my student's papers about how the Gators would win in the bowl game. He was sooooo sure about it. Obviously, I had to give him a hard time, and I said there was no way the Gators would beat the Buckeyes. The student didn't look convinced, so I went on to say..."I'm so sure that OSU will win that I will throw a party during English if Gators win. In fact, I'll bake a cake!" And so...the kids had a great time at the party.
